The gaming world seems to be obsessed with the notion of motion controlled games. Every hardware and software developer in the business seems to be jumping on the Nintendo band wagon. The Wii was supposed to be Nintendo's last hurrah for consoles. Instead it has transformed the gaming industry and has allowed it to reach an extremely broad audience. I will never be an advocate of motion gaming, not even Kinect peaked my gaming interest at E3. While I applaud Microsoft's efforts on the hardware end and Nintendo's on the software side, Sony should be embarrassed.

I had watched some demos of the Playstation Move prior to E3, and I was thinking to myself how is this better then Wii? I mean at least Microsoft eliminated the controller. The Move apparently is better than the Wii at depth perception and response time. However, during the Tiger Woods demo at E3 the guy showing off the technology was unable to strike the ball the first two times he swung. If it can't work well at carefully planned event how will it operate well in your living room?

One thing Sony tried showing off during their demo was the wide range of games that would utilize the Move technology. Games like Tiger Woods, Socom, and NBA 2K11 will support move. Well I already made my point about Tiger Woods, has anyone ever held a gun for an extended period of time? It's extremely tiring, and simulating holding a gun will be tiring too, and the novelty at first will be cool, but give it two hours and you will be grabbing your traditional controller.

Honestly after a day of work, school, or practice (sometimes all three) do you really want to start moving around? I just want to chill and do as little as possible, i.e. use only my hands.
