Yesterday, Matt Leinart was quoted as saying ?The philosophy is you want the best 11 guys to play. I feel like I?ve proved that with my performance. I don?t really know what else I could possibly do, so it probably goes beyond football. For me, I just really want an explanation and I haven?t been given one.? This quote was in reference to Derek Anderson getting the starting nod at QB over Leinart this past week against the Bears. Well Matt, let?s take a long hard look as to why Ken Whisenhunt, the Cardinals head coach, has decided to start Derek Anderson.

Could it be because you haven?t thrown the ball farther than 18 yards down field in three games this preseason? Or could it possibly be because in those three appearances, you have only managed to lead your team to score a total of 7 points. Just because you are boasting a high completion percentage and a better QB rating than Derek Anderson does not mean you have out played him. The object is to put point on the board Matt, not bitch and moan about how coach Wisenhunt is out to get you. His decision does not go beyond football, it starts and stops with your painfully subpar performance on the field.

The facts are that Leinart has a pee-shooter arm, a big ego and all of his priorities in the wrong places. If you Google search, Matt Leinart, there will be more pictures of his off the field escapades than him in a Cardinals uniform. What originally seemed like a match made in heaven, has been anything but. The Arizona Cardinals have made it known they are more than open to trading their former 2006 first round draft pick. However they?d be lucky to get a pack of Crayola crayons in return. And I?m not talking about the good 120-pack where you get fun colors such as ?Fuzzy Wuzzy Brown? and ?Mango Tango,? I?m talking about a used 8-pack of the basic colors that has been sitting in the sun for 3 years. That?s how far this QB?s value has fallen. So to whichever team trades for Leinart, (the Raiders, Giants and Bills are rumored to be interested) good luck.
