So after clubbing going to bars getting accommodated back in the party city that is Tampa, I kept hearing the ever popular song ?Like A G6? by Far East Movement. First thing in my head is like this song is a definition of a club song, shit got the beat that makes your heart race while pumping the adrenaline that powers your motive of the night; finding girls and getting fucked up. Second thing in my head is that, this song is getting ever more popular that its actually moving up the list on Itunes despite the song being almost about a year old (released in Itunes in April but song was well out in late 2009).
Like every California group, Far East Movement?s music has already been playing popularly in the West Coast and now the East Coast is catching up. Far East Movement is a rapping, songwriting, and producing Ameircan-Asian group that is well known on the West Coast. The first time I actually heard this group was from the Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift soundtrack which there first hit ?Round Round? was featured. Since then Far East Movement is slowing on the rise and just recently signed with Cherry Records, adding more diversity to the hip-hop music scene.
Far East Movement is preparing its first official album consisting of many guess appearance from various artist that includes Snoop Dogg, Bruno Mars, Lil Jon, Pit Bull etc?. So watch out America, an Asian-American hip-hop group is now joining the list and hopefully be more successful than the rapper Jin (who became a one-sided West Coast rapper). Far East Movement is taking the nation and world by storm. They are bringing in the Tsunami.
