When the first Grand Theft Auto came out in 1997, the object of the game was basically to just drive around. Ironically, the series was going to be called, "Race N Chase". The GTA franchise made a major impact with GTA 2 in 1999 because of its kick ass features and originality.

GTA2 took place in the year 2013 in three districts. You could run around, drive anything, control gangs, and blow shit up. Following GTA2 were the most popular games of the series, GTA 3(2001), Vice City (2002), San Andreas(2004), and GTA 4(2008).

GTA 3, which gave rise to the popularity of sandbox games, was the first to implement a 3D engine. It created a lot of controversy due to violent and sexual content (hell that's what we want, right?).

Running around as a gangster in GTA3 was quite fun (for the first couple of weeks). However, what was there to do after shooting and discovering everything in the map? Answer, nothing. I don't even remember beating any of the GTA games.

GTA San Andreas introduced some innovative concepts to the series. During the game you could change the character?s clothes, workout, create and destroy relationships, etc. GTA SA was the first game in the series that actually drew me in for the longest period of time.

GTA was pretty sick at this point, I loved the idea of owning your own places, and walking into about anywhere and robbing the joint. I didn?t mind picking up hookers, flying in apaches and blowing up anything in sight. Basically, GTA SA was the shit for PS2.

GTA 4, what the f**k happened? I bought the game, played for a couple of weeks and that was it. It had an almost identical feel to NYC, which was an exact reproduction of Liberty City(sound familiar?). What was different? Nothing, except the surprisingly good graphics (have to give credit to the ps3), and wait...wait for it...[drum roll please]...shit. You heard me, it was shit. Fun for weeks, yes, a game to play for fun? No.

Ok ladies, finally the moment we have been waiting for, because the wait has been worth it. Let me introduce you to Just Cause 2, the MOST outrageous sandbox game you will ever play. Let me explode your nuts with a little pictures to begin with [there is no dramatization with these pictures, you can do anything].

Released on March 23, 2010, Just Cause 2 opened the eyes of everyone that owned a gaming system, PC, Xbox, or PS3. Literally eye opening, Just Cause 2, lets you take a sandbox game to a different level. Revolving around actual fighting and causing chaos [which = more money and achievements], takes away from the gangster feel, times a million.

You can blow anything up, ANYTHING, fly anything, let me say that again, anything, cruise in a boat, again - anything can be done. Activities can range from riding in a Chinese fishing boat planting c4 and flying away in your parachute with a grappling hook to sky diving from the top of a mountain. You can grapple someone to your vehicle and drag them, grapple the back of your car to a statue, and pull the statue to the ground, grapple a person and pull them offa building, ride in a helicopter and shoot anything in site, do a mission to assassinate people running around town [like maniacs], shoot out tires of a car so it flips - these are just some of the things I can think of at the moment.

The amount of time you can put into this game is unlimited. Steam told me I put around 30 hours when just completing the campaign. What is there to do after the campaign you ask? Well, let me put it this way, after finishing the campaign, Just Cause 2 told me I only completed 27% of it.

I would rate this game a 9/10, only because most systems can't process the perfect graphics, which is a bit of a catch. Also, the missions can get a bit repetitive. The name of the game actually has a meaning once you beat the campaign which I won?t spoiler for whom ever wants to buy this game at $49.99.
