What did we learn from college football in week 1? The answer is very little, despite what ESPN may have told you. I'm only certain about two things from week 1 (thus far). The first is UCONN showed against Michigan that they still lack the athletes to start a major program. I say this because Michigan didn't beat UCONN, Denard Robinson beat UCONN. ESPN predicted after the Pitt loss to Utah that UCONN had a legitimate opportunity to go to a BCS game and potentially a national championship. However, after the Michigan game I can't see UCONN beating teams that have one star offensive player, like a Dion Lewis on Pitt. The second thing I learned is that if Ryan Katz can make better decision and utilize the talent around him the Beavers (Oregon State) have a legitimate shot to beat Boise State and win the Pac-10. Now that I have shared what we really learned from week 1, its time for the good stuff.
The pageantry of college football is what separates it from the NFL. The pregame rituals, the crazy entrances, and the amazingly unique cheers are what make the college environment electrifying. Here are some of my favorite rituals that I love to watch and take part in. Enjoy!
This is possibly the most electrifying entrance in college football.
Time to start the fourth quarter at Camp Randall
The entrance is synonymous with The Big House

The worst pageantry in college football!
You see this entrance everywhere now-a-days but they were the originators.
