The "Ride Like the Wind (only faster)" team, fasterthanthewind.org, is trying to create a vehicle that can travel faster than the wind propelling it. Aerospace engineer Rick Cavallaro, who graduated from Georgia Tech in 1984, and his team already claim to have traveled at least twice as fast as the wind during testing. Currently, they predict to go even 3 times or more faster in the near future.

Rick's team, Thin Air Designs, in conjunction with San Jose State University, have been researching and experimenting for quite some time. They are corporately sponsored by the likes of Google and Joby Energy, along with a few others.

We are looking forward to see even better results from the team!
