College football fan or not every sports enthusiast needs to be glued to the television this Saturday. There are a handful of matchups that are just filled with drama that not even the best of television shows can replicate. While the headliner has to be the rematch of the 2003 Fiesta Bowl between Miami and Ohio State, Florida States trip to Norman should be a fun high scoring game, and it will be interesting to see how Alabama performs against an overrated Penn State team without Mark Ingram.

As I mentioned in week 1, I will not make a prediction about any game involving Miami. However, as a fan of Miami I will say this game is eight years in the making and it appears the current Canes are well informed about what the faithful are looking for.

In my opinion, the second best game on Saturday is defintley Florida States visit to Norman to face the Sooners. Florida State has a very solid quarterback in Christian Ponder and Oklahoma struggled against Utah State. I think Oklahoma (asides from Uconn) is one of the most overrated teams in the country. I'm not quite sure how they garnish the number ten ranking despite having an extremely mediocre season last year. I expect the Jimbo Fisher led Seminoles to role into Norman and make a statement for not only FSU but the ACC.

My Pick: FSU

I'm the Penn State faithful are optimistic that they can compete with Alabama, however I don't think this game will be even close. Penn State lacks ability on both sides of the ball and Alabama with or without Mark Ingram are a deep and athletic team that should be way too much for the Nittany Lions.

My Pick: Bama

For some reason the Michigan-Notre Dame game is big news. After week one, ESPN was already declaring Denard Robinson a Heisman candidate. Plus, Notre Dame is already back to the glory days after a win against Purdue. While I think both programs might be headed in the right direction they are no where close to being considered top teams. One man from Michigan beat Uconn (Robinson) and Notre Dame was facing Robert Marve on Purdue, which is like giving your opponent a victory. I'm certain whomever wins this game will be ranked in the top 25, but they most likely don't deserve it.

My Pick: Michigan or should I say Denard Robinson.

I have zero respect for the University of Florida on the football field. They only play one instate opponent on a regular basis (Florida State) and their out of conference schedule is virtually non-existent. However, this year UF will play South Florida a team they have been scared to play in the past due to their mediocre rise in prominence. The Gators offense last week couldn't get on the game page, it seemed like they fumbled the ball thirty times. While I do like Brantley at QB, I don't think he has the offensive weapons at wide receiver to suit the play style he is most comfortable at. The Bulls shouldn't give the Gators any trouble.

My Pick: Florida.

Another matchup that will probably get attention but really shouldn't is Oregon at Tennessee. Oregon put up a whopping 72 points against New Mexico, which I felt was absolutely ridiculous. Most teams who are playing easy opponents week one get a comfortable lead and then coast. However, Oregon opted to run wild on the over-matched Aggies. The Tennessee program is in a current state of disarray. Highlighted by last years top recruit (Bryce Brown) deciding he doesn't want to be apart of the post Lane Kiffin era. Tennessee has not granted his release and it seems like a legal battle is brewing. Oregon will continue to show off their high power offense and leave the Volunteers wishing Philip Fulmer was still around.

My Pick: Oregon

Last week I was 4 of 5 on my picks. Va. Tech really let me down. Let's see if I can be perfect this week. Its truly a must see weekend for sports fans with the NFL season getting under way as well.
