There has been a large improvement in the computer industry, especially in animation used in films. Significant gains have been made - just compare Pixar's old films such as Toy Story, to a much larger scale in environment such as Wall-e.

These advances in CGI are simply breathtaking. In the future, I wouldn't be surprised if there were computer generated films that looked akin to real life. Even the gaming industry has had a profound impact from these advances.

I came across the video below and it gave me the chills. It showcases how remarkable CGI (and the programs used to generate it) have become. However, most of the credit must be given to the skills that are required to manipulate the textures, images, physics and so forth. Credit goes to Alex Roman for the beautiful video. Enjoy!

.Fullscreen it, please.

A FULL-CG animated piece that tries to illustrate architecture art across a photographic point of view where main subjects
are already-built spaces. Sometimes in an abstract way. Sometimes surreal.
