Goodbye Old Friend
We Will Miss You
As this week approached I was so excited, for two reasons in particular. The first was the season finale of Entourage, and the second was the release of Halo: Reach. Both have been mainstays in my life for almost a decade and while the Halo franchise has had a greater impact on my life I don?t think I can sell short the endless number of conversations in relation to Entourage. Since the target market for most hardcore games are males between the ages of 18-35, it's always a surprise when you hear a female voice on the other end of the microphone. Being a women gamer is like being any major minority group who feels they are oppressed by the more powerful majority. Halo Reach Review
The results are in
Hey everyone, this is the review for Halo: Reach from IGN. I always feel they give a strong assessment of new releases without divulging too much detail about the game. I of course will have to wait until Tuesday to pick up the copy for myself. I only wish it was acceptable in a normal work environment to bring your Xbox in and hook it up to a TV in the conference room. If you haven't preordered or fully purchased the game yet. I would recommend pre-ordering the game at Best Buy as they will mail you a $20 gift card. Not sure about anyone else, but any time I can avoid Gamestop the better. Plus, the Best Buy in Union square is 24 hours, which makes it ultra convenient for me! Here is the video review enjoy!...Read more

Thirty Million and Counting
That obviously isn't true
This post will eventually focus on my reflections of the Halo franchise and my expectations for Halo: Reach. However, first I feel it is necessary to rip an article I read earlier today. The article?s title was ?Halo: Reach won?t be a disappointment for 30 million waiting fans.? Now I?m certainly not a mathematician, but I?m kind of interested in how this particular author came up with the number 30 million. Well lets take a look, Halo 3 sold (as of January 2008) 8.1 million copies, Halo 2 sold 8.46 million copies worldwide, and the original Halo sold 5 million copies. So if we tally up the three Halo games, ODST, and Halo Wars we come up to a number just above 34 million. Not sure how total unit sales over six games equals total number of fans, but my college degree has only been in full swing for a few months, so I might be missing something. I certainly never purchased another Halo game after the original, like seriously what was this guy thinking?
