By now, everyone has probably heard the earth shattering news, all indications point that Brett is back. ESPN reports that Brett Favre?s teammates requested an answer, and now the quarterback has landed in Minnesota for what everyone hopes will be the last time. Does this news surprise anyone? No, I doubt it....Read more
There has been a lot of talk in Jets camp regarding Darrelle Revis' contract issues. He has been called by his own coach ?The best player in the NFL.? That is pretty high praise considering he plays on the defensive side of the ball and he doesn't even play a central position like middle linebacker. Further still, Rex Ryan repeatedly uttered these words during a contract year for Revis. Bold comments are nothing new for Ryan however, as he routinely plays his big guy jolly persona to the "fullest." If you ask me, if his appearance were that of Jerry Jones, and he looked like a melting ghost, he wouldn't be seen as such a Santa like figure who could do no wrong. ...Read more
Every year, someone tries to discover the next Miles Austin or Jamaal Charles. The goal being to find a player late, who you can stash away that will hopefully emerge late in the season and help salvage your poorly put together team....Read more

The best point guard in the league is Rajon Rondo. You heard it! Name me another point guard that is as big of a part of the game on every level as this man is. The guy is an elite defender, (league leader in steals), he is as gritty and tenacious as any man in the league, and he grabs boards like he was a young Shawn Kemp. ...Read more

My group of friends have very mixed feelings about College Football. While most of them love it, most do not enjoy it as much as the NFL. This could be triggered by most of them attending schools that have average football programs, but I don't want to make presumptions. I however, love college football. My father went to Miami, and he raised me to love the U. Now I know what most people are thinking he is a "convenient fan." Well let me tell you doubters out there, I have been to some of the most historic games in Miami history....Read more
About a week ago, a judge in Connecticut determined that competitive cheerleading is not an official sport that colleges can use to meet gender requirements. My reaction upon hearing this was bravo judge, job well done. But this got me thinking about sports in general. What criteria exactly determines what is and what isn?t a sport. Now you will never find one right answer, but I?m going to do my best to help clarify that answer by laying out the criteria that I feel best defines what exactly a sport is....Read more
In my last article, I listed the top 5 offensive skill players at each position. I compiled the list based off of players? statistics, playoff performances and the players overall impact on the game while he is on the field. For this article, I am going to try and do the same for the defensive side of the ball. However, this is going to be a lot tougher because other than sacks for defensive ends and 3-4 outside linebackers, defensive stats aren?t going to tell the whole story. (Even the number of sacks for those positions only tells half of the story) So bare with me, I don?t have access to hours and hours of game film to base my list off of....Read more
